I apologise to Anglesey Council staff for my remarks

I WRITE in response to the letters in your newspaper dated May 27, regarding comments I recently made following Phil Fowlie’s resignation as Leader of the Council.

I apologise profusely to anyone who was offended by my comments and fully accept and understand their response. I feel my comments may have been taken out of context and misinterpreted, but fully acknowledge that my choice of words were inappropriate and unfortunate.

Having served as a local councillor for many years, I am totally confident that no employee of the council can claim that I have not treated them with the utmost respect and I fully recognise the invaluable work carried out by all employees of the council, without exception.
