I UNDERSTAND from internal sources at the council that expenses claimed by five councillors, namely Elwyn Schofield, Phil Fowlie, Clive McGregor, Ieuan Williams and Bob Parry are subject to Auditor investigations.
The Director of Finance to his credit has said they should pay some of the money back.
I believe that the councillors travelled to Cardiff first class in order to meet someone who could help them sack Mr Derrick Jones the council's managing director.
Why did it take five councillors to do this? What had Mr Jones done wrong? This cost Ynys Mon Council tax payers about £1,800.
MP's claiming unreasonable expenses have been exposed. These councillors are no better.
It beggars belief why Barry Durkin and J V Owen who sit on the Audit Committee decided they wanted it kept secret.
If any of the above is false or misleading then perhaps we can expect a public statement from Clive McGregor.
