THE recent announcement that Centrica has been given backing to develop an offshore windfarm some nine miles north of Anglesey is potentially exciting news for the local economy ("Hundreds of wind turbines to be built on Anglesey coast" – Mail January 13).

IN light of the comments made by Albert Owen MP, with regard to the Conservative position on Wylfa B and nuclear power, I thought I should reiterate that I and senior Conservative spokespeople like Cheryl Gillian MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, are committed to ensuring that Wylfa B is an absolute priority for Anglesey’s economy.
