Cricket: Bangor 2nds embarrassed by Conwy

BANGOR SECONDS suffered an embarrassing 142-run defeat at home to Conwy in North Wales League Division Two.

The visitors prolonged the game by opting to bat first and they amassed 230- 7 off 45 overs, Jonathan Davies scoring 101 and Eddie Favill 72.

Jamie Camilleri did outstandingly well to escape the hammer, pouching 4-27 off 11 overs.

Bangor were then skittled out for just 88, Ian Morgan 31 and Chris Jones 25, Hugh Kelly 4-14 for Conwy who prevailed 10-0.

Bodedern were also pulverised in their Division Four clash at Mochdre 2nds, the Anglesey side perishing for a mere 45, Gareth Thomas 24 and Rob Stewart 8-6 for the hosts who replied with 58-4, Thomas 2-17.
