Rugby Union: Two tries not enough for Bangor

BANGOR 10 NEWTOWN 29

WRU DIVISION TWO NORTH

SECOND half tries from forward Tom Randall and wing Dai Davies were not enough to save Bangor from defeat against their Mid-Wales visitors.

The hosts should have done much better, especially in the first half with the gale force wind behind them. They had territorial advantage for much of the half but failed to cross the line despite having some good chances.

Newtown discovered some of the home team were reluctant to tackle and scored two tries running the ball out from deep inside the hosts’ half.

Although Bangor improved in the second stanza, silly mistakes cost them more points.
