NWCL DIV TWO

HALF-CENTURY heroes Phil Westall and Chris Dawson shared in a second-wicket partnership of 121 as Anglesey Aluminium won Saturday’s island derby by an emphatic 10-0 margin.

Calling the coin correctly, Aluminium took first use of the home strip, but were less than happy after Matt Jackson perished without a run on the board.

However, Westall (80) and Dawson (53) then took over and further knocks down the order by John Westall (33) and Tom Hull (24) saw the hosts to 211- 7 off 45 overs, Daniel Surgey 3-52.

Bridge were then bowled out for just 58, only Cefyn Owen (22) making double figures.

Dafydd Rhys Spens (4-17), Westall (3- 14) and Daniel Jones (2-16) were AA’s main destroyers in a 153-run triumph.
