BOTTOM side Bethesda’s North Wales League Premier Division woes continued as they crashed by five wickets at home to champions Llandudno.
Put into bat, Pesda struggled from the start against Tudno’s pace attack and were bowled out for just 76 in the 28th over.
Carwyn Williams (28) and Nick Roberts (26) showed some fight for the home side, but the real stars of the show were the Llandudno bowlers.
Sam Rimmington snaffled 6- 25 off 7.2 overs while South African Keegan Nagan picked up 3-14 from 10, including a double wicket- maiden.
Bethesda’s task was uphill to say the least when they took the field, but initially they hinted at an upset when they removed both Tudno openers with a mere six runs on the board.
But Aled Williams and Nagan steadied the ship with a third-wicket partnership of 45 and the visitors passed the required total with five wickets to spare.
Nagan top scored for the title holders with 49, an innings which included seven fours and three sixes.
Danny Creek was the home side’s best performer with the ball, picking up 3-35 off 11 overs.
Llandudno pocketed the points 22-2 and Bethesda now travel to in-form Mochdre this Saturday desperate for a result to buck a worrying run of defeats.
ARWYN Griffiths cracked a match-winning 59 not out for Bethesda seconds in their 6-4 triumph at Abergele seconds in Division Four.
Put into bat, Pesda posted 154-9, number seven Griffiths well backed up by opener Eifion Jones’ 43.
Gele were then bowled out for 145 in 44 overs, Aled Jones picking up the vital wicket of danger man Martin Hedge, who hit 48.
Aled Jones claimed 4-38 and Stephen Roberts 2-39.
