Britt in Pobl y Cwm cancer battle while Maria remains unlucky in love in Coronation Street

POBOL Y CWM: Britt goes into hospital for cancer treatment this week, and it’s a worrying time for all involved. Being Britt, she puts on a brave face, but there are emotional scenes when she leaves the children. Everybody’s supporting her, especially Siôn, and even Garry shows that he has a heart after all.

Sara confronts Garry, demanding that he leaves her alone and, distracted by his concern about Britt, he agrees.

(S4C; Weekdays; 8pm).

EMMERDALE: Jasmine's didn't ever really strike me as the murdering type, mind you that Shane doesn't half deserve it. You could imagine Debbie being the bad one but not the shiny cheeked young hack. Poor Marlon, I can't stand that Ross and he's bound to go off with someone else after breaking up a lovely relationship.

(ITV1; Weekdays; 7pm).

CORONATION STREET: You also have to feel sorry for Maria, when is that girl ever going to meet somebody decent? That Carla will hopefully do one before long as well, I can't be bothered with her constant whining voice and slurping of large glasses of wine, she deserves that madman Tony! How hilarious was Dev, when he tried to start working in his new kebab shop, priceless!

EASTENDERS: I can't believe that Max is still alive, they've had two chances to kill him off now and the Bod lookalike is still there - why? And who can believe that the writers made Jane a stand up comedian, I know you'd have to have a sense of humour to live with Ian Beale but come on how likely is that? And Shirley and Mr Potato Head finally get it on - yuck!
