FOLLOWING feedback from a very successful start last year, leading opera voice coach Marian Bryfdir’s workshops continue this year in similar fashion.
The sessions, held at the Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead, will cover relaxation, breathing and vocal exercises, movement and acting, along with the opportunity to sing both chorus and solo excerpts from operas. Newcomers are welcome; there is no need to have attended the first workshop.
Marian specialises in vocal tuition for singers, actors and singing teachers. As singer and opera director her experience is wide and varied, from her early career at Covent Garden to directing composer Bill Evans' new opera Cei Llawn Cyffro at Galeri, Caernarfon in June 2008.
The course continues on Saturday, February 20, Saturday, 20 March and Sunday, April 11, plus a possibility of performing in the chorus of Swansea City Opera’s performance of the Pearl Fishers at the centre on Saturday, April 17.
The workshop is from 10.00am - 5.00pm, £10, £5 concessions, full-time education. For further information please contact The Ucheldre Centre (01407) 763361 or e-mail he@ucheldre.org
