BANGOR University’s resident pianist will be performing her first concert of the season at Powis Hall.
Jana Frenklova will perform Beethoven’s E-flat Piano Sonata, a selection from Debussy’s wonderfully evocative Préludes, and Schumann’s Symphonic Etudes, based on a musical theme by Baron von Fricker, the guardian of the young woman with whom Schumann was in love at the time.
The concert takes place in the University's Powis Hall at 8pm on Thursday, November 19.
Tickets cost £10 (concessions £7, students £5), and are available in advance from the university's website www.bangor.ac.uk/concerts or on the door.
Families are welcome – one child is admitted free with every paying adult, and tickets for additional children cost just £2. A full range of Fairtrade refreshments will be available.
