Shakespeare's Twelth Night at Caernarfon Castle

GALERI presents the magical Shakespeare comedy Twelfth Night at Caernarfon Castle on June 25 at 7.30pm.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, the nation’s most acclaimed touring theatre company, welcome plenty of cross-dressing shenanigans, mistaken identity and deserved comeuppance all round.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men will continue its popularity by bringing the show to some of the most beautiful open-air venues in the country, offering audiences outside the capital the perfect opportunity to see Shakespeare performed to the very highest standards, in the way the Bard first envisioned them... with an all-male cast!

After being shipwrecked and believing her twin brother to be drowned, Viola disguises herself as a man and enters the employ of the lovesick Count Orsino, whose object of affection is the flighty Olivia.

Olivia’s grumpy manservant Malvolio is about to be taught a lesson by the boisterous Sir Toby Belch. his gullible friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek and the jester Feste, while Viola’s twin brother Sebastian returns having in fact survived the wreck.

As Viola slowly falls in love with Orsino while still in disguise, she must fend off unwelcome attention from Olivia, re-unite with her lost brother, and somehow conceal her true identity.
