Green music festival at Bangor's Treborth gardens

FOR the greenest festival and family fun day going, make sure you head to Botanical Beats this weekend on June 7.

Now in its fourth year of fundraising for the fantastic Treborth Botanical Gardens, Botanical Beats is bigger than ever. Hosting three stages, the environmentally friendly event by the Menai Bridge will stage a mix of local music, dance, nature-based arts and crafts, a fancy dress box and wood crafts.

The big top, cabaret stage and the DJ dome offer something for everyone, with acts including Valleum, North Wales Saxophone Choir, Mooncoin, Wil Williams, Bandabacana and many more.

Also this year to help celebrate the start of Wales Biodiversity Week, the event will team up with local wildlife organisations to offer a range of activities including live reptile, mammal and moth exhibitions; nest and bat box building; bug hunts and interactive displays.

The event runs this Sunday, June 7, 1pm-7pm with entrance £5 for adults and children going free. A park and ride system will be in operation, with parking on site for disabled visitors. Refreshments and a BBQ are available. All funds raised will help to support the continuing work of the Friends of Treborth Botanic Garden.
