Rhys Ifans and The Peth to play Bangor venue

HOLLYWOOD star Rhys Ifans is set to make an appearance in Bangor.

Rhys will join his band The Peth at Time/Amser.

This autumn Time/Amser, the Students Union nightclub in Bangor, is launching a new way of showcasing and enjoying the latest music around, in The Saturday Night Project.

Venue manager Adam Isbell hopes to attract large crowds to the upcoming events by "bringing world dance music brands to North Wales".

The aim is to rebrand weekends and introduce the next generation of music lovers to the some of the best musicians and DJs on today’s circuit, whilst still catering for their huge client base of familiar faced students and local residents.

Over the coming weeks, the venue will play host to some of the biggest brands on the scene including Cream, Tidy and Godskitchen, opening their doors to established players such as DJ Hype and The Peth which includes Super Furries’ Dafydd Ieuan.

Saturday, October 11, is the first official Residents Party and party-goers can expect big anthems from some of the best local talent with those you may usually find playing at well established nights such as Clinic or Manipulate.

As well as Danny Killa, Jackie Baxter and GBH, fresh new talent will be given the opportunity to showcase their efforts, encouraging the up and coming DJs of this area to hone their skills.
