Holyhead's Christmas lights switched on

IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Holyhead.

The annual Christmas parade and ceremony to switch on the town lights took place on Friday, with a record turnout of residents in festive cheer.

The land train lead a parade, which included popular local resident, Gladys Roach, 103; Mary Parry’s Musical Players in full traditional costume, Gwelfor majorettes and the queens and court representing the town.

Locals lined the streets to mark the countdown to Christmas.
