FOODSTORE Aldi, opened their store in Llangefni last Thursday to much fanfare.
People dashed in to snap up the deals on offer as a choir from Ysgol Y Graig sang to welcome first customers through the doors of the new store.
The store development at Llangefni is part of Aldi’s £20m investment across North Wales in 2008-09.
In recent weeks, Aldi staff have been hard at work promoting themselves in Llangefni by working with Ysgol y Graig on a variety of schemes.
Ysgol y Graig, deupty headmistress, Eiriianwen Williams said: “We were delighted to be given the opportunity of singing to celebrate the opening of Aldi here in Llangefni.
“It was a nice touch by the company to have several of our pupils actually cutting the ribbon to open the store.
“Every school now needs to strengthen its ties with local businesses in their area.
“By working with Aldi in this way we are fulfilling an obligation and hopefully we will work alongside the store and its staff on future projects.”
