New picnic area for Ysgol Llaingoch pupils

HOLYHEAD Round Table has once again come to the aid of a local school, this time Ysgol Llaingoch has received two picnic tables for use by pupils in the playground.

Class teacher at the school, Mrs Alison McGee said: “These picnic tables are great for the school.

“We actively encourage the pupils to eat fresh fruit during break times and the picnic tables are an excellent meeting point for them to sit down together to enjoy their fruit.

“It helps us with our goal to promote healthy eating in our youngsters.”

The tables are also used by the nursery group, allowing the children to take puzzles outside and enjoy the benefits of outdoor play.

Mark Blackwell of the Round Table said: “We are always happy to try and help our local schools and it was great to have such a warm welcome from the pupils when we arrived today.”
